Overview
This three-day intensive and highly interactive course focuses on preparing participants to take the International Institute of Business Analysis™ (IIBA™) Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP™) exam. This is not an introduction to project management course. This course will review all of the material covered on the exam and provide a large number of practice exams to prepare participants to succeed. This course has been evaluated by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA™) and it has been found to be compliant with the Business Analyst Book of Knowledge (BABOK™). This course has been designed for project managers, business analysts, systems analysts, technical managers, and software developers who wish to become certified in the tools and techniques of successful business analysis, scope and requirements definition and management. Experience in requirements gathering or systems analysis desired but not required. Completion of the LGd Scope and Requirements 3-day course is recommended. Each student will receive A comprehensive participant guide with all course material and practice exams plus The Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge by IIBA

Exam
An optional one hundred fifty question, three and one half hour, closed book multiple choice computer based examination is administered at IIBS testing centers worldwide. Testing center locations can be found by visiting the IIBS Exam Information webpage. IIBA paper-based exams can be delivered onsite when there are 15 persons or greater in the classroom.
To be eligible for CBAP Certification, you must meet the following five requirements:
- Work Experience Requirement
Seventy five hundred hours (i.e., five (5) years) business analysis work experience in the last ten (10) years engaged in tasks specifically related to the knowledge areas as defined within the BABOKĀ®. The ten (10) year timeframe is based on the application date. - Knowledge Areas Requirement
Demonstrated experience and expertise (i.e., a minimum of 900 hours (i.e., 6 months) of business analysis work experience engaged in tasks specifically related to the knowledge areas as defined within the BABOKĀ®) in at least four of the six knowledge areas. - Education Requirement
The minimum education requirement is high school or equivalent. Note: there will be no reduction in work experience for post-secondary education. - Professional Development Requirement
Twenty one hours of professional development in the last four years. The professional development content must be directly related to business analysis or its underlying competencies and must be completed by the application date. - Reference Requirement
Two references from a career manager, client (internal or external) or Certified Business Analysis Professional are required. These references must indicate that you are a suitable candidate for the CBAPĀ® certification.
